Professor Lord Patel of Bradford OBE

Currently University Director of Strategic Partnerships and Senior Advisor to the Vice Chancellor at the University of East London, Lord Kamlesh Patel is tasked with creating strategic links between the university and a wide range of public and private sector organisations regionally, nationally and internationally.

Shirley Cramer CBE

Shirley Cramer is an experienced voluntary sector leader in both the UK and the USA and has also held non-executive positions in both countries in the public and voluntary sectors.

Deputy Chief Executive 

Duncan Stephenson

As Deputy CEO, Duncan supports the Chief Executive in setting the overall strategic direction for RSPH as well as providing operational support and deputising when required. Duncan also leads the External Affairs and Marketing department which includes developing the organisation’s voice on public health issues and all areas of external communication.

Natasha Kaplinsky OBE

Broadcaster

Natasha Kaplinsky is known as one of television’s best-loved broadcasters – hosting news across the networks from the BBC to Sky, chalking up hundreds of hours with Channel Five and ITN News in between. She has anchored news-based programmes at breakfast to the flagship bulletins at the end of the day.

Michael Sheen

Actor and activist

Michael Sheen has proved himself equally accomplished on both stage and screen. Michael is now branching out to start his own social movements. In March 2019 he launched the End High Cost Credit Alliance, aimed at tackling the unfair targeting of high cost credit to those who can least afford it.

Nigel’s current position is Chief Executive of the British Dental Health Foundation from June 1997.

Professor Carol Wallace

Carol Wallace is Principal Lecturer in Food Safety Management at the University of Central Lancashire, where she leads the highly successful MSc in Food Safety Management by eLearning.

Professor Lisa Ackerley

Professor Lisa Ackerley is an independent food safety consultant providing advice and support to most food industry sectors and to the mass media on food safety issues.

Anne Heughan

Anne Heughan is public health nutritionist with over 40 years experience as a State Registered Dietitian, who has worked in both the public and private sector on food, nutrition and health policy at global, European and UK level. She has been active in many government and industry committees.

James Morris

James Morris is a Senior Director at Edelman in London, focusing on corporate affairs strategy. He has helped leaders engage with stakeholders stretching from the green benches of Westminster to the boardrooms of New York to the townships of South Africa. His background straddles research, communications and politics.

Vij Randeniya

Before a Fire Service career of over 30 years, Vij Randeniya graduated with a degree in Modern History and subsequently joined London Fire Brigade serving at some of the UK's busiest fire stations including Brixton and Whitechapel.

Wilma Reid

Wilma is currently the Head of Learning & Improvement in NHS Health Scotland, a national Health Board working to reduce health inequalities and improve health.

Joe Stringer

Joe is Managing Partner of TenX Health – a Venture Capital Fund dedicated to growing startups in the healthcare technology sector.

Jill Turner

Jill Turner has over 33 years of operational management and strategic leadership experience in a variety of National Health Service roles at local and national levels with a major focus on service improvement.

Tony Vickers-Byrne

Tony has over 25 years’ experience at HR director level, primarily in the NHS. This included roles at The Health Protection Agency, The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust and The Royal Surrey Hospitals NHS Trust, where he also led on facilities and communications.

Professor Derek Ward

Professor Ward has a dual role with academia and the NHS. For 3 days a week he heads up the newly established Health and Social Care Research Centre at the University of Derby. During the other 2 days he provides professional public health advice into the 4 Clinical Commissioning Groups across Derbyshire.

Phillip Woodward

Phillip is a former local authority Chief Executive and Director of Environmental Services.

Richard Burton

Director of Qualifications

As Director of Qualifications, Richard is responsible for the RSPH Awarding Organisation. Staff in this area develop and maintain RSPH’s extensive suite of public health qualifications, while ensuring that centres receive their exam papers on time and successful candidates their certificates.

Janice Constable

Director of Membership & Educational Services

As Director of Membership & Educational Services, Janice's responsibilities include managing a busy team to deliver individual and corporate membership, publications (including the journals Public Health and Perspectives in Public Health), conferences and events (including the Diploma in Occupational Health and the prestigious Health & Wellbeing Awards), e-learning, accreditation, CPD and training.

Kiran Kenth

Director of National and Regional Programmes

As Director of National and Regional Programmes, Kiran is responsible for designing and delivering new programmes of work aimed at improving and protecting the public’s health and wellbeing, in line with the organisation's strategic priorities and annual plan.

Parthy Parthipan

Director of Finance and Corporate Resources

Parthy Parthipan is a qualified accountant and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). He is also a graduate with BSc degree in Physics and Maths.
