The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) is an independent charity dedicated to improving and protecting people’s health – both in the United Kingdom and around the world. As a broadly-based membership organisation, we have a wide range of activities from high profile campaigning and policy activity, through to education and training.
Our current Chief Executive, Shirley Cramer CBE, is leaving after seven highly successful years. Under her leadership, we have increased our public profile, reputation and membership significantly.
We are now seeking an ambitious, entrepreneurial forward-thinker who will challenge our way of seeing and doing things in order to take us to the next stage of our journey. Strong commercial acumen and project management skills are essential as we seek to develop and grow existing and new income streams, combined with strong financial management experience in order to ensure the organisation is robust and financially sustainable for the future.
With personal enthusiasm and passion, your resilient leadership will be paramount in managing a highly professional, tightknit and dedicated senior leadership team and workforce. With strong political acumen and influencing skills you will be adept at engaging effectively with our key stakeholders at the highest levels across government, private, public, voluntary, academic, and other professional bodies, and with the national and international media.
For an informal, confidential chat please speak to our advising consultants Rebecca O’Connor or Peter Guilder.
The closing date is 10am on Friday 6th December 2019.
